The application value of transabdominal combined with transvaginal ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids
Objective To explore the value of combined transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids. Methods 150 suspected patients with uterine fibroids admitted to our hospital were selected as the research subjects. All patients underwent transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound examinations, with pathological diagnosis as the gold standard. The diagnostic efficacy of the combined examination and the detection rate of lesions in different parts were compared. Results The diagnostic accuracy of combined ultrasound examination was 98.00%(147/150),sensitivity was 97.87%(92/94),specificity was 98.21%(55/56),positive predictive value was 98.92%(92/93),and negative predictive value was 96.49%(55/57),respectively,higher than that of single detection by transabdominal ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound(P<0.05).The detection rate of intramural fibroids by combined ultrasound examination was 98.48%(65/66),which was higher than that of abdominal and vaginal ultrasound examination alone(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of transabdominal combined with transvaginal ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids has significant value and high diagnostic efficacy. It can effectively distinguish uterine fibroids in various parts and provide scientific basis for the formulation of subsequent treatment plans, which is worth promoting.
