Study on the effect of cervical support on single pregnancy with cervical insufficiency
Objective To analyze the effect of cervical support on single pregnancy with cervical insufficiency. Methods 87 cases of preterm birth prevention were retrospectively selected and divided into study group(41 cases)and control group(46 cases)according to random number table method. The study group was treated with cervical support, while the control group continued to expect treatment. The general data and clinical outcomes after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results The initial cervical length of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, the incidence of hysteroscopic treatment>1 time, prophylactic use of vaginal progesterone, dilation degree of internal cervical opening>20 mm,assisted reproduction were higher than those of the control group, and the incidence of cortisol-hormone use was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence rates of delivery, vaginal delivery and birth weight≤1500 g in the study group within 7 days of intervention(0%,58.5%,24.4%)were lower than those in the control group(10.9%,82.6%,32.6%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of cervical support in the treatment of pregnant women with cervical insufficiency or suspected cervical insufficiency has no significant effect on reducing the risk of delivery before 37 weeks,34 weeks and 28 weeks, compared with the expected treatment group. It may be effective in extending the gestational age,and has no adverse effects on maternal infection and neonatal adverse outcomes.
