Effect analysis of volume rotation intensity modulated radiotherapy on patients with cervical cancer
Objective To explore the effect of volume rotation intensity modulated radiotherapy(VMAT)in patients with cervical cancer. Methods 55 patients with cervical cancer were selected and divided into observation group(28 cases receiving VMAT treatment)and control group(27 cases receiving fixed-field dynamic intensity modulated radiotherapy(FF-IMRT)according to different radiotherapy methods. The exposure of the surrounding tissues and the occurrence of acute hematotoxicity were compared between the two groups. Results The dose gradient index(DGI)of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of acute hematotoxicity in the observation group(7.14%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(33.33%)(P<0.05).Conclusion It is recommended that patients with cervical cancer receive VMAT treatment after surgery, which can reduce the radiation dose to normal tissues and prevent acute blood toxicity reaction compared with FF-IMRT treatment.
