The clinical value of CT diagnosis of uterine fibroids
Objective To study the clinical value of CT technology in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids in patients. Methods 80 patients with suspected uterine fibroids were selected and examined by B-ultrasound and CT after admission.Postoperative results were used as the gold standard. The positive rate of confirmed results after operation was counted, and the positive rate of B-ultrasonography and CT were compared,as well as the sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value, positive predictive value and accuracy rate of uterine fibroids. Results After surgical treatment,74 cases(92.50%)were positive and 6 cases(7.50%)were negative. There were 54 positive cases(67.50%)by conventional B-ultrasonography and 70 positive cases(87.50%)by CT.The positive rate of uterine fibroids detected by CT was significantly higher than that by conventional B-ultrasonography,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of CT in the examination of uterine fibroids were higher than those of conventional B-ultrasonography,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion During the diagnosis of uterine fibroids, the application of CT technology can significantly improve the accuracy of disease diagnosis,so as to timely formulate treatment plans and buy more effective treatment time for patients.
