A Study on the Effects of Aerobic Exercise during Pregnancy on Anxiety,Depression, and Reproductive Outcome in Pregnant Women
Objective To explore the relationship and influence of aerobic exercise during pregnancy with anxiety and depression. Methods 172 pregnant women were selected. Those who were willing to accept aerobic exercise training were set as the experimental group(73 cases),and those who were unwilling to accept aerobic exercise training were set as the control group(99 cases). The experimental group received aerobic exercise training once a week during 16 to 32 weeks of pregnancy, and routine prenatal examination; The control group only performed routine prenatal examination.Anxiety, depression, weight gain during pregnancy, labor and delivery outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of anxiety and depression after aerobic training(32 weeks gestational)were lower than those before aerobic training(16 weeks gestational),but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the control group, the anxiety score at 32 weeks of pregnancy was slightly lower than that at 16 weeks of pregnancy, and the depression score was slightly higher than that at 16 weeks of pregnancy, with no statistical significance(P>0.05).The scores of anxiety and depression in experimental group were lower than those in control group at 16 weeks and 32 weeks of pregnancy, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The weight gain during pregnancy in experimental group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the first, second and third stages of labor, neonatal weight, neonatal Apgar score, perineal integrity rate and cesarean section rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Aerobic exercise during pregnancy can relieve anxiety and depression of pregnant women and effectively control weight gain during pregnancy.
