The application of weight loss model based on information motivation behavioral skills in obese patients with polycystic ovary syndrome
Objective To exploring the application effect of the Information Motivation Behavioral Skills(IMB)model in weight loss in obese patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods 88 obese patients with PCOS were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 44 cases in each group. The control group adopted a conventional intervention mode, while the experimental group added information motivation behavioral skills model guidance on the basis of the control group.Compare the body mass index(BMI),waist to hip ratio(WHR),body fat percentage, self rating anxiety scale(SAS),self rating depression scale(SDS),weight loss knowledge, attitude, and behavior scores between two groups of patients before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the BMI of the experimental group patients decreased, and the decrease in WHR and body fat rate was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the SAS and SDS scores of the experimental group patients were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The weight loss knowledge, attitude, and behavior scores of the experimental group patients were higher than those of the control group after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion The intervention mode based on the IMB model has a good effect on weight loss in obese PCOS patients, which can improve their knowledge, attitude, and behavioral level of weight loss, improve their anxiety and depression, and provide effective support for medical staffto guide weight loss in obese PCOS patients.
