Boundary identification method for submarine sandpit based on slope stability
Submarine sandpits usually have steep slopes, and landslides may occur on the slopes of sandpits under marine dynamic environments, leading to the scope expansion of the pit. Therefore, accurately detecting and identifying the boundaries of submarine sandpits is of great significance for analyzing and evaluating the impact of sandpits on adjacent submarine pipelines. At present, the commonly used methods for identifying the boundaries of sandpits are based on submarine landform image recognition and submarine topography map recognition, both of which analyze the seabed surface without considering the impact of slope stability of sandpits.By building a stability analysis model for the sandpit slope, the paper calculates the stable slope angle of the sandpit slope. The paper also calculates the slope of the sandpit and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the stable slope angle of the sandpit slope, the gradient of the sandpit slope, and the submarine topography. For areas with a slope greater than 4.3°,the submarine slope is unstable, and the contour line at the top of the slope is used as the unstable boundary of the sandpit. In areas where the slope gradient is less than 4.3°,landslides have occurred on the submarine slope and have stabilized. Therefore, the area with an internal slope of 4.3° is used as the unstable boundary of the sandpit. This method has a practical significance in terrain and geology and can be adopted to identify the boundaries of sandpits.
