Common problems and standardized practices of motor grounding in oil and gas places
The reliability of the protective grounding of electric motors is an important guarantee for personal safety and stable production and operation. However,in the quality inspections of the construction and security inspections of the production,it has been found that many grounding practices are not standardized and the protective function has been lost. This paper elaborates on common quality and safety issues during the installation or operation of electric motors in oil and gas field stations and analyzes their functions and protective working principles.Aligning with standard specifications and combining practical experience, the paper explores standardized and exemplary methods of electric motors to improve the reliability and visual quality of equipment operation and avoid electric shock accidents caused by motor grounding problems from the root.
