Experimental study on dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio of Chenghai marine soil in Dagang Oilfield
As an important producing area of offshore oil&gas in Bohai Bay,Chenghai Block of Dagang Oilfield is located in the west coast of Bohai Bay,a high incidence area of earthquakes. Therefore, seismic safety evaluation must be carried out according to dynamic parameters such as dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio of the engineering site in this area. The dynamic parameters of marine soil samples at different depths from 0 to 120 m in Chenghai sea area(Dagang)were measured and studied using resonance column tester. It is found that the dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio of the marine soil in the sea area decreases and increases respectively with the increase of the dynamic shear strain, and the confining pressure is approximately linear with the two.The relevant research results can provide technical reference for the design, construction and seismic analysis of offshore engineering sites.
