Study on the evolution rule of settlement caused by hydrate exploitation
Despite abundant reserves of hydrates, their exploitation process is prone to disasters such as reservoir settlement and deformation. In order to clarify the influence of hydrate exploitation on formation settlement, this paper used the finite element method to analyze the effects of different influencing factors such as the thickness, caprock, the size of the decomposition zone and the degree of decomposition of hydrate reservoir on stratum settlement. As a result, the relationship between the equivalent plastic strain and the decomposition area was discovered, the deformation law of the caprock and the underlying soil layer during the exploitation identified, and the functional relationship between decomposition and settlement determined.
