Modular construction has become the mainstream construction mode of oilfield surface engineering in the Middle East.With the modular construction project of a large-scale oilfield centralized processing station in the Middle East as an example,this paper analyzes the project in terms of its modular transportation capacity and lifting capacity.It clarifies the modular boundaries and limits of the project and combines the EPC procurement strategy to obtain modular design schemes of the crude oil treatment unit in the station,which includes the modular layout division,and design schemes of typical processing equipment modules and the pipe rack modules.The modular design is highly applicable.It can be used for reference and applied in the construction projects of large and medium-sized oilfield centralized processing stations with similar crude oil treatment processes and treatment capacity in the Middle East.
