Current status and problems for lifting gear management in offshore construction sites
Currently,offshore construction sites use a segmented prefabrication method followed by integrated assembly for the upper module blocks during construction.Consequently,a large number of lifting operations are necessary at these sites.Lifting gear,as a critical component of lifting operations,plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the operations.This paper took Offshore Oil Engineering(Qingdao)Co.,Ltd.as a case study to describe the current status of lifting gear management in its offshore construction sites.The paper analyzed the existing problems in lifting gear management and provided recommendations to enhance lifting gear management and prevent safety accidents in lifting operations.
