The submarine pipeline passing ball indicator,a device mainly used to determine whether the pig has been sent out or arrived,is important to ensure the smooth completion of cleaning operations and intelligent internal detection.Traditional ball passing indicators may fail and be unable to accurately determine the timely arrival of the pig.Therefore,a non-contact ball passing indicator based on ultrasound is developed.From the performance test using foam balls,mechanical balls,electronic geometric detectors,and magnetic flux leakage detectors on the test loop,the new ball passing indicator can accurately determine the ball passing of submarine pipelines.
