Techniques of lost circulation prevention and plugging in Bohai Bay Basin:Taking KT1 well as an example
In deeper oil exploration, geological conditions of fields under development become increasingly complex, and more attention is paid to lost circulation prevention and plugging in on-site construction.Taking the KT1 well drilled in Kuihuadao of Bohai Bay Basin as an example, this paper gives a brief introduction of the well structure and stratigraphic layer data to show specific lost circulation prevention and on-site plugging measures and plans for number two, three, and four target well intervals. Then, lost circulation prevention andplugging process in on-site constructionis summarized with further discussion on the corresponding precautions. It is pointed out that a series of work should be carried out. Before drilling, precise analysis should be conductedon layers prone to leakagewith consideration of the formation's characteristics and wellbore's structure to obtain a proper drilling fluid formula.During drilling, attention should be paid to parameters such as pressure and flow rate, and adjustments should be made in time.At the same time,a lost circulation prevention plan should be prepared so that effective prevention measures can be taken at the early stages of lost circulation to minimize the influence of leakage.
