Application of proportional directional spool valves on drilling platform equipment
With ideal performance,proportional directional spool valves are widely used in petroleum machinery.The valves are applied for controlof drilling platform equipment such as iron roughneck,crane,cantilever skidding system,hydraulic winch,etc.This paper introduced the application and working principle of the valves on iron roughneck,crane,and cantilevers kidding systems.Then,analysis was carried out on cases of the valve's spool jamming,and fault of the valve's relief valve on the hydraulic winch.The fault analysis process,solution,and troubleshooting results were also illustrated.Besides,other common faults and troubleshooting methods of the valve were introduced.Finally,measures to prevent and reduce the valve's failure were given.
