Applicability analysis and test evaluation of filter stabilizer
Severe vibration of drilling string during operation is likely to cause accidents including precision instrument(such as MWD and LWD)failure, early damage of drill bit,and drill string fatigue fracture. In this study, factors influencing downhole tool vibration in the deep and ultradeep well are analyzed, and the filter stabilizer is installed as the main measure to deal with drilling string vibration.Elastic displacement of core components in the filter stabilizer is utilized for axial vibration energy absorption and release of the drilling string.A mechanical model is built to select the installment location for the reduction and filtering of axial and circumferential vibration caused by bottom hole assembly.Obvious improvement is achieved after the application of filter stabilizer in field well sections, assuring stable transmission of instrument signals, and effective transfer of bit weight and torque.Besides, the stick-slip phenomenon of drill string can be reduced effectively, increasing drilling bit life and penetration rate.
