Synthesis of fluorescent carbon dots by electrochemical method for chloramphenicol probe
Using glucose as carbon source, the C-dots were synthesized by electrochemical carbonization method and the morphology and optical properties of C-dots were characterized. The prepared C-dots were used as fluorescence probe to detect the chloramphenicol. The results show that the as-prepared C-dots emit blue fluorescence when excited by ultraviolet light(excitation/emission wavelength was 345/450 nm,respectively). The chloramphenicol has quenching effect on the fluorescence intensity of C-dots and the quenching effect of chloramphenicol on the fluorescence intensity of C-dots vs the concentration display a good linear relationship, with a detection linear range of 0.1~5.0 mmol/L and a lower limit of detection of 0.016 mmol/L.The as-prepared C-Dots have excellent fluorescence property and optical stability, which can be used for the detection of chloramphenicol content sensitively and specifically.
