Experimental study on self-monitoring performance of intelligent concrete cracks
To monitor the cracks of the building in real-time,the crack expansion and crack location of the building can be characterized. The experiment explored the mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, and self-monitoring performance of smart concrete after adding conductive phase materials(steel fiber and nano carbon black),and investigated the influence of the content of conductive phase materials on compressive strength, resistance change rate, and other performance indicators. The experimental results show that under the premise of satisfying mechanical properties and electrical conductivity, the composite carbon black nanoparticle and steel fiber can show the complementary advantages of the long-range electrical conductivity of steel fibers and black short-range electrical conductivity of nano-carbon black,so that the material has good self-monitoring performance. The crack self-monitoring performance is the best when the content of steel fiber is 1.5%and the content of nano-carbon black is 0.75%.
