The impact of flow rate on the thermoelectric performance of photovoltaic/thermal water heater
This study utilized numerical simulations to examine the heat transfer mechanism of photovoltaic/thermal(PV/T)water heaters, aiming to enhance their photovoltaic and photothermal efficiencies. It was found that as the water flow rate increases, there is a corresponding improvement in the system's photovoltaic, photothermal, and overall efficiencies, along with a gradual reduction in the heat loss coefficient. In terms of temperature distribution, increased water movement significantly lowers the temperature of the PV/T module, particularly around the heat collector tube, which results in a more uniform temperature distribution.A temperature distribution function for the PV/T module at different water flow rates was obtained based on the least squares method.
