Application of posterior uterine separation of bladder reflexion combined with cervical lift suture in reducing the intraoperative injury of pernicious placenta previa
Objective To investigate the application of posterior uterine separation of bladder reflexion combined with cervical lift sutures in reducing intraoperative injuries associated with pernicious placenta previa parturition. Methods A total of thirty pregnant women with pernicious placenta previa who were hospitalized in the Department of Obstetrics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Shaoyang University from June 2021 to June 2024 and underwent cesarean section were selected as the study group.Other 30 pregnant women with pernicious placenta previa who had received traditional surgical termination in the past five years served as the control group. After the delivery of the fetus, the control group underwent conventional uterine suturing, while the study group received posterior uterine separation of bladder reflexion combined with cervical lift sutures.Intraoperative blood loss, blood transfusion needs, average length of hospital stay, bladder injury rates, and hysterectomy rates were compared between the two groups. Results The study group demonstrated significantly lower rates of intraoperative blood loss and blood transfusion requirements, average length of hospital stay, and bladder injury rates than the control group(P<0.05).However,the hysterectomy rates between the two groups showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion The technique of posterior uterine separation of bladder reflexion combined with cervical lift sutures effectively reduces intraoperative blood loss and the need for blood transfusions and bladder injury in patients with pernicious placenta previa.Additionally,it shortens hospital stays and lessens the financial burden on patients.
