SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MATERI-AL SELECTION AND PIPING FOR SULFURIC ACID ALKYLATION AND IONIC LIQUID AL-KYLATION PIPELINES
There are many types of alkylation technolo-gies,among which the sulfuric acid alkylation process is mature and uses concentrated sulfuric acid as the catalyst.Sulfuric acid has strong corrosiveness and has special requirements for pipeline material selection.Ionic liquid alkylation is a new process technology that uses composite ionic liquids to replace traditional con-centrated sulfuric acid as the catalyst.It is a new green,safe,and environmentally friendly alkylation technolo-gy.This paper introduces the special characteristics of these two alkylation technologies in pipeline material selection and pipeline piping.
