The tube bundle of dry wet hybrid evaporative air cooler includes pre-cooling tube bundle and evaporating tube bun-dle.Pre-cooling tube bundle adopts finned tubes,while evaporating tube bundle uses serpentine light tubes.During the use of this type of equipment in a coastal petrochemical enterprise,different degrees of leakages occurred at the U-shaped bend of ser-pentine light tube.In order to determine the cause of corrosion leakages,taking the overhead cooler of naphtha fractionation tower in naphtha hydrogenation unit as an example,various testing methods were applied to analyze the corrosion cause.Based on the research results of appearance inspection,water quality analysis,chemical composition testing,mechanical properties and metal-lographic testing,corrosion morphology observation and product composition analysis,it was concluded that the main cause of failure come from the combined action of differential concentration corrosion and electrochemical corrosion.Corresponding preven-tive measures were proposed.
