Measurement and Analysis of Permeability of Large Tow Carbon Fiber Warp Knitted Fabrics
In order to study the permeation behavior of large-tow carbon fiber warp knitted fabrics, the permeability of the carbon fiber preforms with different ply numbers and different stitching structures were measured with unidirectional permeability test method. The experimental results show that:(ⅰ)the number of fabric layers directly affects the infusion time of the preform;(ⅱ)the more effective flow channels of the carbon fiber preforms, the higher the permeability;(ⅲ)for fabrics with different stitching structures, preforms made by the same laying method have the highest permeability with the highest number of parallel flow channels of fiber bundles.
