Discussion on Clad Steel Plate Fixed Tubesheet Heat Exchanger Design
Clad steel plate fixed tube sheet heat exchangers have been widely used in many industries because of their combining the advantages of both strength and corrosion resistance.Several items in the design of clad steel plate fixed tube sheet heat exchanger were analyzed and discussed,such as clad tube sheet,simplification of calculation input and selection of tube-hole structure.The feasibility of explosion clad steel plate application when tubes were subjected to axial compression stress was demonstrated,the misconception of allowable material stress in the calculation of pull-out stress of tube-to-clad tube sheet joint was clarified.The simplified input method of shell-side clad plate thickness in SW6 software was presented,and the details of selecting the type of tube-to-clad tube sheet joint were expounded.It could provide a useful reference for the design of clad steel plate fixed tube sheet heat exchangers.
