Process Treatment and Optimization Transformation for Excessive Vibration of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Feed Pump in Catalytic Cracking Unit
The liquefied petroleum gas(LPG)feed pump in the product refining unit of the 2.5 million t/a catalytic cracking unit of PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co.Ltd.frequently experienced excessive vibration and dry gas seal leakage failure, resulting in fluctuations in the production of the unit or unplanned shutdown. The causes of failure of LPG feed pump were analyzed. In order to solve the problem of non-switching isolation caused by the internal leakage of the valve after the vibration of the LPG feed pump exceeding the standard, the extended process method was innovated to realize the safe and effective switching isolation of the LPG feed pump.By adjusting the rated volume flow rate, changing the pump model, replacing the motor and mechanical seal, the LPG feed pump was modified and optimized, which greatly reduced the vibration value of the LPG feed pump from 7~10 mm/s to less than 2.1 mm/s,which played a positive role in the safe and stable operation of the catalytic cracking unit for a long period.
