Review of research on oil and gas transport system
The transport system, serving as the link connecting source rocks and traps, plays a pivotal role in characterizing hydrocarbon migration. On the one hand, delineating the transport system helps determine oil and gas pathways, while on the other hand,it facilitates the accurate positioning of hydrocarbon reservoirs, underscoring its undeniable importance. This paper, after introducing the fundamental concepts, characteristics, and classifications of the transport system, provides a detailed analysis of determining dominant migration path-ways,quantitative assessment methods for transport capacity, and the reservoir-controlling effects of the transport system. The study concludes by summarizing research methods and i-dentifying outstanding issues for resolution. The research methods encompass geological analysis, physical simulation and numerical simulation, addressing the necessity to align pa-rameters with corresponding geological periods, emphasizing the study of transport efficiency, highlighting three-dimensional dynamic representations, and advocating interdisciplinary col-laboration for future development.
