Research on hydrotreated medium oil-vacuum residue co-coking technology for improving liquid recovery
Delayed coking process is an important means of refining heavy oil to light weight in refineries. This process is mature, has low investment, high diesel to gasoline ratio, and has good economic benefits. In response to the problems of high coke yield and low liq-uid product yield in delayed coking units, research has been conducted on using hydrotreat-ed medium oil as a hydrogen supply agent in refining and co-coking with vacuum residue to reduce coke yield and improve refinery liquid recovery. The experimental results show that co-coking of hydrotreated medium oil and vacuum residue can significantly improve the liq-uid recovery of coking reaction products, improve the quality of liquid products, and reduce coke yield.Under the conditions of atmospheric pressure, reaction temperature of 500℃,and reaction time of 120 min, blending 5%hydrotreated medium oil(hydrogen consumption of 1.82%)in vacuum residue resulted in a decrease of 2.78%in coke yield and an increase of 3.69%in liquid yield,of which the yield of dry gas and gasoline in the product decreased by 1.37%and 1.82%,respectively,while the yield of diesel oil and heavy oil respectively increased by 0.13%and 5.39%.
