Exploration and Application of Methods to Increase Torque in Single-acting Pneumatic Actuators
In the condition of air loss,single-acting pneumatic shut-off valve relies on the spring to reset the valve. For the pneumatic shutoff valve with a ball valve as valve body,if the torque is insufficient, the valve jam is easy to occur. The responsible security protection will not be achieved, there will be great potential risks.By investigating the internal structure of the pneumatic shut-off valve, the causes of valve jam is summarized.Based on the idea of reducing cost and increasing efficiency, three methods of increasing the torque of the actuator are compared and analyzed. The innovative scheme of increasing torque is explored to improve the safety and reliability of the shut-off valve under the base of without changing the original design.
