RCM Analysis of Programmable Ball Valve for Locking Hopper
Taking 31 programmable ball valves in the locking hopper unit of a certain gasoline desulfurization unit as an example,a reliability centered maintenance(RCM)analysis is conducted.Through fault mode and impact analysis, the main failure modes of programmable ball valves are identified, the causes of failure are analyzed, the impact and risk level of faults are determined, and appropriate fault identification methods are provided, reasonable maintenance time and types are proposed. The operating condition of programmable ball valves is improved, the failure rate is reduced. The optimized strategy has improved the operational reliability of the programmable ball valve and reduced unplanned shutdowns of the locking hopper unit.
