Multi-ethnic community governance represents the pinnacle of cutting-edge,challenging,and globally significant research in community management, serving as a breakthrough in social governance innovation.Historically, studies have predominantly focused on the impact of community governance on ethnic economies, with minimal exploration of how ethnic economies influence community governance. This article investigates the Arab ethnic group in Yiwu, employing intergroup contact theory and considering the ethnic economy as a unique variable to analyze and gain insights into community organizational structures, governance models, cultural integration, and policy environments. The study reveals that the development of Yiwu's ethnic economy has created conditions conducive to equal status, shared goals, intergroup cooperation, and authoritative support, thereby catalyzing innovative reforms in multicultural community management and culminating in a governance system characterized by"pluralistic co-governance,external self-governance,cultural interweaving, and institutional safeguards."The multi-ethnic community governance in Yiwu offers valuable lessons and references for optimizing China's immigration policy, managing foreign commercial activities, and governing multi-ethnic communities.
