Research on the Conditions,Configurations and Performance of Digital Transformation in Cultural and Tourism Enterprises
Based on the Technology-Organization-Environment(TOE)theoretical framework, this study examines the drivers and pathways of digital transformation in 71 publicly listed Chinese cultural and tourism enterprises(CTEs).It assesses how different transformation approaches impact corporate performance, offering feasible strategies for enhancing new quality productivity in the industry and providing new insights into the relationship between digital transformation and performance. The results demonstrate that:(1)the digital transformation of CTEs is the result of the combined effects of technology, organization, and environment;(2)the current digital transformation of CTEs follows five paths, which can be categorized into three models as the"organization-led","technology-organization synergy"and"technology-environment synergy"models;(3)only by focusing on technology-environment synergy, applying technology to address market demands and innovating products and services, can digital transformation create new productivity and enhance business performance. It is therefore recommended that the digital transformation of CTEs should focus on the value creation of technology application, the utilization of the mechanism of social attention, and the construction of a new human capital management model that matches the technology application and business attributes.
