Exploration of the construction plan for the experimental technical team in philosophy and social sciences laboratory
[Objective]The development of a strong philosophy and social science talent team is crucial for the integral and sustainable success of the"double first-class"initiative in colleges and universities. As the backbone of scientific research and innovation in philosophy and social sciences, the experimental technical teams in the liberal arts are indispensable parts of colleges and universities. With the continuous deepening toward"double first-class"status,higher requirements are put forward to these teams to ensure high-quality training of innovative talent and the construction of first-class disciplines. The rapid advancement of science and technology and information technology have accelerated the progress of"new liberal arts."This has opened up new fields and perspectives, promoting breakthroughs and innovations in both technology and methods. Therefore,it is necessary for liberal arts technical teams to possess diverse professional backgrounds and strong multidisciplinary expertise to better contribute to the dynamic development of new liberal arts disciplines.Interdisciplinary integration is the foundation of"double first-class"and"new liberal art"initiatives.Research and innovation in the humanities and social sciences should break disciplinary boundaries, embracing multidisciplinary research methods to deepen and broaden interdisciplinary collaboration.Based on the above status and development trend, the current plan for building liberal arts technical teams has increasingly shown relative lag and hindrance, failing to meet the new flexible requirements of interdisciplinary integration for composite innovation capabilities and international proficiency. Thus, reforming and innovating the construction plans for these teams is an important task for advancing cross-experimental platforms and discipline development.[Methods]To ensure the scientific and effective innovation and reform of the liberal arts technical teams, this paper conducts a comprehensive analysis and summary of the current situation of such teams both domestically and internationally. This involves a thorough literature review, multiparty visits, and exchanges within and outside the university.By integrating specific case studies and research findings, this paper aims to address the real challenges and pain points faced by the liberal arts technical teams. The study selects representative interdisciplinary integration platforms in liberal arts and science, namely the Bioarchaeology Laboratory of Jilin University,a Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education.Furthermore,it proposes targeted program systems and implementation rules that align with actual development needs while adopting a phased"feedback-adjustment-optimization"mechanism to constantly improve scheme content.[Results]Through extensive investigation and research, this paper analyzes and summarizes the difficulties faced by the construction of experimental technical teams in the humanities and social disciplines. The key issues identified include:① passive attitude toward work and lack of professional identity;② inadequate system applicability and unclear job responsibilities;③ lack of a single incentive mechanism and low work efficiency;④ narrow channels for ability improvement and a lack of professional guidance.Drawing on the actual construction of the Bioarchaeology Laboratory of Jilin University and adhering to the basic principles of top-level design,people-oriented approaches, scientific planning, and open exchange, the following innovative schemes are proposed:①cross-disciplinary joint training, focusing on developing composite capacity construction;②deepening international exchanges and cooperation and providing opportunities for foreign exchanges;③ introducing flexible recruitment for research group projects, and multilevel and rich incentive mechanisms;④ adopting a"tutorial system"for training and communication, with customized plans for ability improvement.A series of effective measures have effectively improved the power of scientific research and innovation of the technical teams and the ability and quality of the team members.[Conclusions]The innovative exploration and implementation of the liberal arts technical teams have created a favorable policy environment and foundational conditions for their capacity building. This approach establishes a virtuous cycle from capacity building to performance incentives, greatly improving the internal driving force and enthusiasm for the development of these teams.Consequently,it can continuously inject a steady stream of talent"source power"crucial for constructing"double first-class"initiatives and the innovation and development of"new liberal arts"in colleges and universities. This solid foundation promotes further cross-disciplinary integration and advancement.
