Study on Solid Particle Moving on the Linear Shale Shaker Screen based on DEM
The DEM analysis model of drilling shaker is established based on soft sphere model and HertzMindlin contact model.Combined with the three-dimensional discrete element analysis software EDEM,the moving process of the solid particles on the shaker screen is simulated.To study the throwing motion of the solid particles,six kinds of different particle sizes are selected to analyze the moving speed and filter ratio.The study results show that the solid particles move on the shaker screen mainly by throwing motion,and the throwing index is a dynamically varying value.With the running of shaker,the moving speed of particle gradually becomes a stable value.The particle size has a great impact on the moving speed:the smaller the particle size,the smaller the moving speed.The filter ratio gains the maximum value at the entrance of the shaker screen and gradually decreases along the screen surface.Therefore,the particles should be moved forward as soon as possible by throwing motion at the entrance,so that to reduce the particle accumulation and the filter ratio.
