Research and Application of Subdivided and Intelligent Completion Technology for Offshore Horizontal Open-Hole Wells
The efficient development of horizontal wells in Bohai oilfield is faced with challenges such as great difficulty in sand control and prominent high water cut,and the popularization of unmanned platforms has increased the demand for remote monitoring of production wells. Therefore,a subdivided sand control and intelligent separate zone production completion technology for horizontal open-hole wells was developed to meet the current production needs.A bypass isolation packer was introduced to design a one-trip multi-compartment gravel-pack string, and the dual isolation of the bypass isolation packer could effectively prevent interzonal cross flow and provide a good well-bore environment for intelligent separate zone production. The produced fluid flow channel of the intelligent sepa-rate zone production string was redesigned, and the hydraulically controlled intelligent sliding sleeve was optimized to the position above the top packer to reduce the field operation difficulty and cost. The nodal analysis method was used to analyze the mechanism of the intelligent separate zone production string. This technology was tested in Well S of Bohai oilfield. The test results show that the subdivided gravel packing effectiveness of the well is 100%,and the intelligent sliding sleeve successfully achieves remote control on central platform.Sand is not produced until now, with a daily oil production of 108 m3,exceeding the proration by 10%,achieving the goal of increasing re-serves and production. The research results provide new ideas for the separate zone development of horizontal open-hole wells in offshore oilfield, new approaches for water control technology of open-hole wells, and new ways for the large-scale construction of intelligent oilfields.
