Service Life Evaluation and Ultimate Water Content Prediction on Gas Valve of Multistage Compressor
Gas reinjection in oilfields has the characteristics such as water contained in medium, high and wide variable range of pressure, the multistage reciprocating compressor is easily damaged by water hammer. How to predict the ultimate water content to effectively prevent water hammer is a key issue that urgently needs to be solved. In this paper, with the help of the computational fluid dynamics method, the dynamic characteristics of all levels of gas valve plates in multistage compressor under wet gas injection conditions were numerically simulated and analyzed, obtaining the load distribution of gas valve plates under different water contents of natural gas.Then,u-sing the nCode software, the service life and ultimate water content of gas valves in multistage compressor were pre-dicted.The simulation calculation results of JGC-4 compressor show that as the water content of incoming gas in-creases,the discharge pressure of the compressor increases, and water droplets continuously separates in the cylin-der,causing water hammer to occur, which has more obvious influence on high pressure stage. The upper limit of water content in incoming gas of the compressor is 0.43%.The research results provide technical support for the application of multistage reciprocating compressors.
