Development and Application of Fully Integrated Upgrading of Rigs
As the rig automation technology diffuses,the integration and automation level of new rigs becomes increasingly high.However,due to mechanical,electrical and hydraulic interface issues,the technical difficul-ties in transforming the fully integrated control system are great,and the transformation cycle is long.Therefore,the proportion of fully integrated system transformation for old rigs is very small.Relying on the upgrading project of a drilling platform,under the philosophy of downsizing for efficiency,a reliable home-made fully integrated control system that supported the original drilling equipment was developed,with pipe string and wellhead automation e-quipment added to upgrade the rig system,achieving integrated control of dual drillers in the system.The field ap-plication results show that the system achieves remote control of all drilling equipment and their ancillary units in driller house,and the development of function shared operating interface reduces the number of executive compo-nents.The dual driller operating system provides redundant operating functions for the rig,the integrated process-ing of equipment status data provides support for safe operation of the system,the system space management im-proves the spatial safety of the equipment,and the automation equipment reduces the staffing of the drilling crew,reduces labor intensity,and enhances the work safety and economy of the operators.The transformation method of the rig system provides reference and guidance for the fully integrated upgrading of old rigs.
