Cloning and Sequence Analysis of a Glyceraldehyde 3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Gene from Hypsizygus marmoreus
A glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene ( gpd ) and corresponding cDNA were cloned from the edible fungus, Hypsizigus marmoreus. Comparison of the cloned DNA and cDNA sequence revealed that gpd was 2 724 bp in length, containing seven introns and eight exons, and encoding a protein consisting of 338 amino acids residues. The calculated molecular weight and PI of the protein were 36.15 kD and pH 8.24, respectively.
