Under the guidance of the sustainable development thought,the development tendency of the design of low-energy and low pollution furniture is discussed.Through the discussion on features and technology of paper furniture,it considers that selecting the paper material to make sustainable furniture,which energy consumption is relatively small,the carbon storage is large and the discharge is relatively few,is beneficial to protecting the environment.The concepts of green furniture,origin background and design culture are analyzed.It points out that the green furniture design should be detachable and user friendly, its shape should reflect the nature style, ecology and cultural characteristics.It proposed that the evaluation system and design standards of green furniture design should be established.
