Spatial Effect of Basic Public Services on Promoting Development of New Urbanization
Based on the provincial panel data from 2010 to 2020 in China, through the construction of spatial Durbin model, the spatial effect of basic public services in promoting the development of new urbanization was empirically analyzed, and the heterogeneity was tested at the regional level. The results showed that:firstly, the basic public services significantly promoted the development of the new urbanization and had a positive effect on the neighboring regions;secondly, there were regional differences in the impact of basic public services on the new urbanization, that was,the basic public services in the eastern and western regions had significant direct and indirect effects on the new urbanization, while the direct effects in the central region were not obvious and the indirect effects were significant;thirdly, there was regional heterogeneity in the impact of industrialization level, human capital level and fixed asset investment on new urbanization. It was believed that it was necessary to improve the level of basic public services, formulate a differentiated basic public service supply system, and promote cross-regional cooperation to improve the overall level of new urbanization.
