The connotation and characteristics of application-oriented universities and the significance and important tasks of the high quality development of them were expounded.The practical dilemma of the high-quality development of application-oriented colleges and universities was analyzed from five aspects:talent training,scientific research transformation,team building,school-enterprise cooperation,and school-running conditions.Some countermeasures were put forward,such as adhering to the guidance of party building,improving the quality of talent training,improving the ability of applied research,strengthening the construction of teachers,promoting the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation,and expanding school-running resources.
