Technology of Nearshore Subsea Pipeline Shore Pull and Goose Neck Riser Installation
In response to the issue of limited land space encountered during the construction of a nearshore subsea pipeline in shallow waters,an intermediate transitional structure, namely the goose neck riser,is employed to connect the subsea pipeline and the onshore pipeline. The broadside tie-in method is utilized to establish the connection between the subsea pipeline and the goose neck riser. The landing construction of the subsea pipeline employs a combination of the pipeline shore pull and the installation of the goose neck riser. The subsea pipeline shore pull employs the use of the laying vessel's mooring winch to pull back, thus obviating the necessity for the installation of a linear pull winch on land. The installation of the goose neck riser is accomplished by utilizing two shallow-water floating crane vessels to berth, which addresses the limitations posed by the constrained space available for riser prefabrication and hoisting. Finally, the subsea pipeline and goose neck riser are connected as a single entity via the broadside tie-in method, which facilitates the landing of the subsea pipeline and its connection with the onshore pipeline.
