Taking an oil product depot storage tank in central China as the research object,the internal fire of the storage tank caused by lightning strike,static electricity and other reasons,is simulated,and the failure state of the storage tank after the fire ex-plosion in the storage tank is analyzed using the flame acceleration simulation(FLACS)software.The problems are pointed out such as aging and fail-ure of fire fighting emergency equipment and facili-ties,difficulty in meeting fire fighting demand with instantaneous fire water volume and fire extinguishing agent reserve,fire water supply and emergency sew-age exceeding the bearing capacity of oil depot,lack of new fire fighting and rescue equipment,and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward:the first is to establish the regular maintenance and hid-den trouble elimination and treatment mechanism of the fire equipment and facilities;the second is to plan in advance and actively deal with the problems in the process of tank fire rescue;the third is to es-tablish emergency linkage mechanism with relevant departments and enterprises.
