Based on a brief description of the defini-tion,classification,advantages and disadvantages of alcohol ether fuel,as well as the current develop-ment status of vehicle alcohol ether in China,the quality standards of vehicle alcohol ether fuel are in-troduced.It is pointed out that there are still prob-lems in the promotion and application of vehicle al-cohol ether fuel,such as incomplete industrial poli-cies,lack of standardization of quality standards,ur-gent need to strengthen market supervision,difficulty in distinguishing public consumption,and inade-quate pricing mechanisms.Corresponding counter-measures are proposed:the first is to improve indus-trial policies and guide development direction;the second is to standardize quality specifications and strictly control the source;the third is to strengthen the market supervision and stabilize circulation or-der;the fourth is to increase information sharing and guide public awareness;the fifth is to improve the pricing mechanism and establish market linkage.
