Effect of Ozone Hydrotherapy Combined with Infant Moisturizer on Infantile Eczema
Objective To explore the effect of ozone hydrotherapy combined with infant mois-turizer on infantile eczema.Methods A total of 98 cases of infantile eczema admitted to Depart-ment of Dermatology,Nanyang First People's Hospital from September 2021 to September 2022 were randomly treated with infantile eczema alone(control group,n=49)or in combination with ozone hydrotherapy(observation group,n=49)for 2 weeks.Clinical efficacy,serum levels of inter-leukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-5(IL-5)and interferon-gamma(IFN-y),score of Infant's Dermatitis Quality of Life Index(IDLQI),and incidence of adverse reactions were com-pared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-2,IL-4 and IL-5 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,while IFN-γ levels in the ob-servation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.001).Furthermore,the differ-ence in IDLQI score before and after treatment in the observation group was greater than that in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reac-tions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The combination of ozone hydrotherapy and infant moisturizer for infantile eczema can effectively and safety relieve the symptoms of itching and skin lesions,regulate cytokine levels,reduce inflammation,and improve the quality of life.
