The Therapeutic Effect of Unimethylate in Patients with Subclinical Hypothyroidism in Pregnancy
Objective To investigate the effects of Unimethylate on pregnancy outcomes and thyroid function in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism(SCH)in pregnancy. Methods A to-tal of 84 SCH patients in pregnancy who attended Shangli County Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected, and they were divided into the control group and the study group according to the method of randomized numerical table, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with thyroid tablets, and the study group was treated with Unimethylate. The efficacy, pregnancy outcome, serum homocysteine(Hcy),folic acid(FA)levels, levels of thyroid function indexes[thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH),free triiodothyro-nine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4)],and the occurrence of adverse reactions before and after treat-ment were compared between the 2 groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the rates of preterm labor, cesarean section, and miscarriage were lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05).After 6 weeks of treatment, the levels of serum Hcy and TSH were significantly lower in the study group com-pared to the control group, whereas the levels of FA,FT3,and FT4 were notably higher(all P<0.001).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion the treatment of SCH patients in pregnancy,Unimethylate may improve pregnancy outcome, regulate serum Hcy and FA levels, and enhance thyroid function with good safety, thereby achieving positive therapeutic effect.
