Family-based Phase Ⅱ Cardiac Rehabilitation with a Structured Education Programme for Patients with Coronary Stenting
Objective Based on the theory of knowing, believing and acting,to explore the effect of family-based Phase Ⅱ cardiac rehabilitation with a structured education programme on the quality of lifeand readmission rate of patients after coronary stent implantation. Methods Eighty hospitalized patients after coronary stent implantation were randomly divided into the in-tervention group and the control group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was given routine health education interventions during hospitalization and after discharge;the inter-vention group was further given a structured education programme for family-based Phase Ⅱ car-diac rehabilitation on the basis of routine health education. The quality of life, evaluated by the Chinese Cardiovascular Quality of Life Rating Question naire for Cardiovascular Patients(CQQC),and the readmission rate of patients in the 2 groups were compared before and 3 months after the intervention. Results The CQQC scores before and after intervention were(71.18±15.11)and(82.70±15.92)in the intervention group and(71.85±15.64)and(70.13±15.64)in the con-trol group, respectively;the difference between the CQQC scores of the 2 groups before the inter-vention was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the CQQC scores of the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the control group after intervention(P<0.001);the read-mission rate of the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group(5.0%vs 25.0%,P<0.05).Conclusion Based on the theory of knowing, believing, and doing, the structured education programme for family-based Phase Ⅱ cardiac rehabilitation could effectively improve physical conditions and quality of life for patients after coronary stenting and reduce the readmission rate of patients.
