Changes in the Airway Bacterial Microbiota in Asthma Children:a Literature Review
Asthma is a common chronic heterogeneous airway disease, and many risk factors influence its development. The lungs of healthy individuals are not sterile, and the microbiota in the airways form an ecosystem that influences the health status of the body.A growing number of studies in recent years have demonstrated that changes in the relative abundance of the airway bacterial microbiota in early childhood are associated with the development of asthma and that the microbiota can have an impact on the development of asthma through specific mechanisms of ac-tion.In this review,we characterize the airway microbiota and the relationship between changes in airway microbiota and the development of asthma in children, providing ideas for early microbial therapies to prevent asthma.
