Effects of Clotrimazole Vaginal Tablets Combined with Lactobacillus Vaginal Capsules in Pregnant Patients with Candidal Vaginitis
Objective To analyze clinical efficacy of clotrimazole vaginal tablets combined with lactobacillus vaginal capsules on patients with candidal vaginitis during pregnancy and to explore its effects on oxidative stress response and inflammatory factors.Methods A total of 102 patients with candidal vaginitis during pregnancy were selected and grouped by random number method.51 patients in the control group were given clotrimazole vaginal tablets,and 51 patients in the experi-mental group were further treated with lactobacillus vaginal capsules.Clinical efficacy,clinical symptom indicators(time for vulvar itching and vaginal mucosal congestion to disappear,time for vaginal secretions and vaginal microecology to return to normal),oxidative stress indicators[su-peroxide dismutase(SOD),nitric oxide(NO),propylene glycol(MDA)and endothelin-1(ET-1)levels]and inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-al-pha)and interleukin-6(IL-6)levels]before and after treatment,and adverse effects(vaginal burn-ing sensation and vaginal irritation)were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Be-fore treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of clinical symp-tom indexes,oxidative stress response indexes and inflammatory factor levels between the 2 groups(P＞0.05);after treatment,the time for the disappearance of vulvar itching and vaginal mucosal congestion,and the time for the return to normalization of vaginal secretions and vaginal microecology of the patients in the experimental group were shorter than those of the control group;the levels of SOD and NO were higher than those of the control group whereas the levels of MDA,ET-1,CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 were all lower than those of the control group(all P＜0.001).The difference in the incidence of vaginal burning sensation and vaginal irritation between the 2 groups was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Clotrimazole vaginal tablets combined with lactobacillus vaginal capsules might effectively reduce clinical symptoms,down-regulate the level of inflammatory response and improve oxidative stress,contributing to desirable clinical efficacy and safety profile in patients with candidal vaginitis during pregnancy.
