Objective To investigate the effectiveness of the PDCA cycle on the length of re-tention time in the emergency green channel for severely traumatized patients. Methods 285 pa-tients with severe trauma who received treatment in the emergency green channel were selected;136 cases from 2020 were established as the control group, and 149 cases from 2021 were set up as the experimental group. The patients in the control group were treated with standardized trauma patient resuscitation process, whereas the experimental group were further implemented with the PDCA cycle to find the deficiencies of the process and make continuous improvement of the resus-citation process. The length of retention, the completion time of rescue measures and the success rate of rescue were compared between the 2 groups. Results The completion time of rescue meas-ures and the length of retention in the emergency green channel were shorter in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.001);the success rate of rescue was higher in the experi-mental group than that in the control group(85.23%vs 75.00%,P<0.001).Conclusion The PDCA cycle might effectively reduce the length of time that severely traumatized patients stay in the emergency green channel, and improve the efficiency of resuscitation.
