Objective To explore the efficacy of rubber dam isolation for root canal treatment in dental patients.Methods Clinical data of 224 patients who underwent root canal treatment from 2020 to 2021 were selected:103 patients(114 affected teeth)admitted in 2020 were estab-lished as the control group,in which the cotton roll isolation was used;121 patients(136 affected teeth)admitted in 2021 were categorized as the study group,in which the rubber-barrier isolation was used;therapeutic efficacy and patient satisfaction were compared in the 2 groups.Results The total effective rate of root canal treatment in the control group was 54.39%,and patient satis-faction was 49.51%;the total effective rate of root canal treatment in the study group was 94.85%,and patient satisfaction was 95.04%.The total effective rate of root canal treatment and patient satisfaction in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The rubber dam isolation can reduce cross-infection and ensure the safety of both doctors and patients,improving the prospects of root canal treatment and causing less complica-tions.
